Franchise Granted for Tucson Electric Light Plant 1902

The city approves a 25 year franchise to Joseph J. Henry for electric light and gas distribution in Tucson. It requires a 6,000 lamp plant within nine months and ongoing modern equipment, with prices not to exceed twenty cents per thousand watts for residents. The ordinance repeals earlier franchise and authorizes pole use for a city fire alarm system.
