A human skeleton found on a Missouri river island three miles below Boonville is identified as Mrs William Courtney wife of a local shoe merchant. She drowned when a steam launch capsized at the Missouri Kansas Texas railroad bridge on August 10 1905. Also missing are a diamond brooch ring and other jewelry. her earrings were not recovered.
