Rensselaer Officer Injured in Arrest on Broadway
Patrolman Alfred Primero of the Rensselaer Police Department was treated at Albany Memorial Hospital for a wrist injury after arresting James R. Sackett of 1227 Broadway on harassment resisting arrest and obstruction charges. Sackett posted $175 bail and awaits court. Also, Timothy J. Tiernan of 442 Broadway was treated for facial injuries after an altercation in the 1200 block of Broadway and had filed a complaint against Richard P. Emory of 1233 Broadway, who was arrested on an assault charge and released on own recognizance.

Esquatak group to meet Tuesday for artifacts display
The historical society of Esquatak will meet at the Albany Institute of History and Art at 7 30 p m Tuesday for a private view of The New York Cabinetmaker and His Use of Space 1740 1840. Slopes will be stabilized with earth fill new drainpipes and gutters installed to prevent future slippage sagging pavement replaced and a July 31 1977 completion target set by DOT. Four bids were received and the contract is expected to be awarded within about a month as part of two dozen highway and bikeway projects bid by DOT.

Nassau Man Dies in Houston Motorcycle Crash
A 22 year old Nassau New York man John Michael Buccigrossi was killed in Houston on Allen Parkway when his motorcycle lost control on a curve and collided with an oncoming car.
