Hoosick Street Bridge High On Project List

A federal and state funded plan places two major highway projects near Albany on the top of the list. The first, a four mile six lane strip from the interstate to Hoosick Street in Troy, would include a new four lane Hudson River bridge. The second project spans six point three miles north of Albany to extend the waterfront route toward the Port of Albany with multiple interchanges and elevated sections. If federal funds are approved, 9 percent would come from federal sources and 10 percent from the state.
