Five Bids To Raze Union Depot For Parking Lot
The Troy Board of Contract and Supply received five bids for demolishing the Troy Union Station to make way for a public parking area. Bloomfield Building Wreckers offered the lowest bid at 28450, with Mullins Construction 31350, Standard Wrecking 33000, Perry & Sons 33900, and Golden 39500. The project includes removal of paving and drainage. parking for 100 cars by December 19 and room for 200 more by December 30, with winter grading and crushed stone. Funding up to 90000 dollars was authorized, with 5000 borrowed and 5000 from current funds.
