Kay's Caps Fire Damages Cohoes Plant
Fire damaged the rear of the second story at Kay's Caps Inc in Cohoes at 18 Remsen Street late yesterday. The sprinkler system activated at 5:58 p.m. and Central Fire Station received an auxiliary alarm. Firefighters from Pumpers 1 and 3 and Truck 3 used a 2.5 inch line to control the blaze with only minor damage. the building was empty and a back door fire was reported as well.

Auto Theft Charges Dropped in Cohoes Case
Two youths James Clark 21 of 20 Lincoln Ave Cohoes and Ralph Paloza 19 of Selkirk were charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle after a theft at Bumstead Used Car Lot Cohoes Saturday. The charges were reduced from grand larceny and later dropped following a civil compromise. State Troopers nabbed them near Catskill after the stolen car was involved in an accident.

Three Cars Damaged In Collision In Cohoes
Three cars were involved in a collision on Columbia Street at James Street in Cohoes yesterday at 2 30 PM. Police said two vehicles stopped for a red light were struck by a car driven by Robert Golden 24 of 429 Sixth Ave Troy. The impact pushed Turpin 55 of 173 Congress St Cohoes into Vivian Walker 45 of 30 Clifton St Waterford. Goldey s car was towed from the scene with no injuries reported. Sgt Arthur Nolan and Patrolman Joseph Holmes led the investigation.
