He studied at Springfield College for two years and has worked as a swimming instructor at the Springfield Boys Club. He is married to Frances R De Costa and lives at 22 Northern Drive. Mack A Hudson Boy Club member and recipient of Camper of the Year in 1960 and Boys Club Achievement Trophy in 1961 served as counselor at Camp Anderson and waterfront director for two years. He was assistant games room director at the Hudson Boys Club and lifeguard for two summers with the Hudson Department of Youth. He is an American Red Cross authorized water safety instructor and disaster case.
