Connecticut Greyhound Best In Troy Kennel Club Show

Shalfleet Starlight of Foxden, a greyhound owned by Mr and Mrs James A Farrell Jr of Darien Conn and shown by Jane Forsyth, was judged best in show at Troy Armory in Troy Kennel Club’s 34th annual dog show finishing ahead of a record field of 1,086 entries including the Skye Terrier Ch Glamour Good News which had won best in Albany.

Troy dog show crowns Best in Show winner at Terrier Group

The Troy Terrier Show drew a record crowd as Shalfleet Starlight of Foxden won Best in Show. Judges Stan the Man of Valley Bus and Star Spray Maria's Rayo Del Sol top two in Sporting and Golden Retriever groups. Oswald and Trullinger provided bidding insights while Miss Nichols judged Silky and Toy groups. Proceeds benefit the Troy Post American Legion Child Welfare Fund.

Escape from Albany School Three Juvenile Escapees Caught

Three boys aged 14 and 15 escaped LaSalle School Albany Saturday night and were found at Mrs. Mancino’s summer home on Peck's Road Snyders Lake at 815 pm yesterday. They were returned to the school and face new charges from Rensselaer County Family Court. Police say they broke in used the home for cooking and sleeping and planned to stay again.
