Whitehall Native Retires From Army After 10 Years
Lt. Col. William P. Haaver, a Whitehall native and stepson of Whitehall Pollen Chief Michael Taha Casse, retired after 10 years of service at the Sacramento Signal Depot. He earned the Commendation Ribbon for meritorious service as chief storage division officer from 1956 to September 1958. Haaver, born in Whitehall and a Whitehall High School alumnus, entered the Army in August 1958 and will pursue business in Sacramento after retirement. He and his wife Paring Dalton, plus their three children William, Tony, and Barry, will reside in Sacramento.
