Troy Club Notes Centennial Promotes Rich Heritage
The Troy Club traces its arc from 1888 opening at Congress and First Streets after a 60,000 mortgage bonds drive, through a 1903 fire, a rebuilt home, and evolving rules. It records long leadership under Walter Warren, a male-only policy until World War II, and growth to about 450 members by the centennial.
