Cambridge Pharmacies Join County Medicaid Prescription Boycott
Two Cambridge pharmacists Winchell and Kinnin joined a county wide Medicaid boycott at midnight Wednesday to protest inadequate state reimbursements. They will charge Medicaid patients directly or bill and write off bad debts for nonpayment. Cooper Pharmacy has never participated.

Youth dies in head on collision on Corinth Road
In a early morning crash on Corinth Road near Van Dusen Road Glens Falls youth James G Fisher Jr 19 died at Glens Falls Hospital after being extracted from his car. Elizabeth I Miner 18 of Corinth was hospitalized in poor condition after the westbound collision. Police cited possible slippery road conditions as a factor and the crash remains under investigation.

Hudson Falls Driver Killed In Icy Bridge Crash
Keith R. Gorton, 30, of Alma Avenue Hudson Falls, died after his van skidded on an icy bridge and struck a tree. He was ejected, rushed to Glens Falls Hospital, and died en route. The crash occurred on Martindale Avenue and was investigated by Patrolmen Thomas Golden and William Stantner.

Saratoga Fair Corporation voted Tuesday not to sponsor a 1977 fair citing higher advance costs rising from 100000 to 200000 and a poor attendance forecast after eight days of rain. Only 265630 attendees paid 8 dollars each for admissions at last year’s event, far below predictions.
