Sclerosis Society Names Connally Campaign Chair
The Capital District Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society named Troy pharmacist Edward J. Connally as chair of the spring drive. Volunteers will canvass this month. the chapter reports nearly 100 new patients aided and notes MS patients may receive wheelchairs beds and other equipment at no charge. Connally coordinates Troy area activities and serves as trustee of the nine-county Capital District Chapter and president of the Troy Area Pharmaceutical Society.

Sister Mary Rosaire Wins Travel Award for Therapy Institute
Sister Mary Rosaire, clinical supervisor of the Physical Therapy Department at St. Peter's Hospital Albany and clinical instructor at Russell Sage and Albany Medical College, received a travel award to attend the 13th annual institute for physical therapy teachers at the University of Nebraska. Area drivers fined in local court votes and fines
Mrs Marie Rogers 26 of Bennington was fined 10 for speeding after two charges were dismissed and two withdrawn at a hearing before Police Justice Robert G Shiland. Two North Adams youths 18 were fined 10 each for unauthorized speeding on High Street. Henry C Wheeler also fined 5 for failure to keep right. Lawrence Brendza 17 of North Adams received a five day suspended sentence for soliciting a ride as other charges were withdrawn. William B Carroll 36 of Cambridge forfeited $50 bail for failing to appear on public intoxication. Eugene Kemp of Williamsburg fined 10 for speeding.

Cambridge man faces second auto theft charge
Thomas F. LeBarron, 23, of Cambridge, already scheduled for a Friday hearing on a first degree larceny auto theft case, was arrested Thursday for a second car theft. He was taken to Rensselaer County jail after waiving rights. Police say a car reported stolen from Main Street in Hoosick Falls was found abandoned in Easton and linked to LeBarron through a hitchhiker description.
