Association of Baptist To Convene

Delegates and trustees from 39 member churches of Capital Area Baptist Association will meet tomorrow from 2 30 to 5 pm at First Baptist Church Scotia. They will review reports act on a budget and set dates for annual meetings. Rev Frank Clayton moderator and Rev Frank L Scidmore clerk lead the gathering. A follow up committee meeting will include one member from each church.

State Bank Names Two Assistant Cashiers In Albany

The State Bank of Albany appoints Joseph S. Mahan of Latham and William C. Mitchell of West Albany as assistant cashiers. Mahan, a 1948 hire, has been Assistant Manager at the Central Avenue branch since March 1966 and is active in local groups. Mitchell, also hired in 1948, has served as Administrative Assistant at the Latham branch since March 1966.

F A Murray Seeks GOP Council Seat in Fifth District

Francis A. Murray of 16 Orr Street announces candidacy for Republican nomination as councilman in the Fifth District. He served eight years as Democratic alderman for the 13th Ward from 1930 to 1937 and held posts under Mayors Burns and Hogan. He led CWA and TERA, acted as industrial commissioner, and was a city assessor for 20 years. Murray has resided in the 13th Ward since 1904 and attends St Patrick's Church.
