Man Arrested For Abuse Of 88-Year-Old Father
In Stayton Oregon a 60 year old man Daniel George Cole was arrested on assault and battery charges after police say he kept his 88 year old father Eugene W Cole confined in a triangular enclosure behind a trailer home. Deputies described the elder man as frail with limited food and water provided by a chained spoon and dog dish. The son, a part-time preacher and movie projectionist, was said to have used an electric fence around the enclosure to control him. The elder Cole was rushed to a hospital in fair condition. authorities investigated with deputies gathering details of the alleged confinement and mistreatment.
