Budget Vote Eyes Low Turnout in Shenendehowa District
Clifton Park voters will decide on an 18.4 million dollar budget raising taxes about one dollar per thousand. About 3,000 of 22,000 eligible voters are expected to cast ballots Wednesday in the Shenendehowa district as superintendent Edwin Dunmire notes efforts like coffees and info sessions to boost turnout. Incumbents Edwin Rodger Peter Fort and Robert Goodman seek reelection with challengers Anthony Marra Charlotte Lockwood and John Law. Copies of the budget are available at the superintendent’s office.

Mechanicville Girl Poisoned Milk Incident
A three year old Mechanicville girl was rushed to St Marys Hospital after drinking milk laced with cleaning disinfectant. Donelle Mastropietro was the child who drank the milk, given by a seven year old playmate in the yard. The cleaner was taken from a downstairs landlord shelf. The hospital pumped the childs stomach and reported she was doing very well.

Mechanicville Teen Arrested After Route Broadway Crash
Police say Eugene Scoville 18 of Kilby Road ran a stop sign on Broadway and collided with Dame Bove 16 of 71 Railroad Street and a passenger Thomas Molisky 25 was severely injured. Scoville was charged with leaving the scene speeding and driving without a license. Molisky remained in guarded condition at Leonard Hospital ICU. Scoville was arraigned before Judge Vincent Pickett and jailed in Ballston Spa.
