Colonie Considers Bid for School Pupils Transport
Colonie district considers a single bid from Bohl Tours Inc. to carry about thirty pupils from School District 6. Bid totals $10 per day or $1,800 yearly, as stated by Edward Butler, president of the Board of Education. Route would run Johnson Road to Boght Road to Watervliet High School and School 9. The district weighs costs of keeping Collina School open, which would cost about $3,000 for eight pupils and require fees for others to attend outside district schools. Butler notes many voters think sending all pupils outside the district may be cheaper.
