Administration Fights Sugu Iajunction
Washington officials said the administration sought to delay an injunction that could disrupt the sugar rationing program. Judge BF Nickimon Letts ruled the dispute centers on how the United States Power Administration doles out sugar to industrial users. Congress was expected to craft the final decision as extensions loom past March. OPA chief counsel Chu Augrbach asked the injunction be stayed pending appeal. Other sources warned coupon rationing and household use would become unworkable without controls on individual use.
