High Grade Milch Cows Produce More Butter
Poor cows eat nearly as much as the profit producers in Michigan State College studies. Three good cows yield more butter fat per feed unit than five average cows, despite extra work. A.C. Bantzer notes many cows produce about 800 pounds milk with 204 pounds butterfat, consuming 69 dollars in feed but earning only 39 dollars over costs amid shortages. Miss Margaret Cutler of Brookline joins the Marine Corps after six months of eye training and carrot eating, saying she is glad to see eye to eye with them.
