Bath scarcity grips Somers New York village during drought
In Somers New York a water shortage leaves residents without baths or reliable running water. Families haul water from ponds and neighbors wells while skipping many chores and meals. Some rent homes to avoid waterless living and drill artesian wells to stay clean and fed. Local figures like Shirley Taylor and Webster Keefe describe daily struggles as they cope with limited supply and dependent routines.
