Castleton Home Damaged By Fire
A pot-type oil burner sparked a fire at Romer A. Scofield’s story and a half frame home at 14 Green Ave Castleton Tuesday. Three Castleton fire companies under Chief Harry Barnhart fought the blaze with chemicals. The home suffered heavy smoke damage and partial fire damage to a living room as the Scofield family fled and later returned after extinguishment.

PSC to Push Beeliner Service Chatham Albany Route

Three False Alarms Plague Rensselaer
Rensselaer police and fire officials launched an intensive investigation into three false fire alarms sounded in the city yesterday.
