City plans to advertise bids for new incinerator
The Troy Board of Contract and Supply arranged to advertise for bids on a new incinerator plant for the city. Mayor John J. Ahern urged speedy bids at the Dec 24 meeting. Architect Russell T. Westbrook finished plans and specs now on file with City engineer Charles Crowley. The incinerator would be built on Oakwood Avenue north of the current city dump, with work slated to start in the spring.
