Coroner Withholds Decision in Ballston Spa Death Case
Coroner Dr William Hickey of Saratoga County withholds an official ruling in the death of John Schaeffer 70 of Ballston Spa found in his garage about 9 pm. The body was taken to Lattimore funeral home for burial arrangements in Ballston Cemetery. The cause of death is pending further Saratoga County Sheriff's investigation and lab report from Albany. Survivors include wife Jennie, a brother Walter Shaeffer and a niece. Born in Ballston Spa October 3 1908 he worked as a meat cutter and at Ballston Stillwater Knitting Company.

John Scott, foreign correspondent and GE welder, will be principal speaker at the regwar meeting of the National Industrial Advone lisors Assn today at 7:30 p.m. at Wolfert's Roost Country Club in Albany. Scott earned a welders certificate in Schenectady in the early 1930s, then went to Russia for five years in industrial plants. He was purged in 1937 and remained in Moscow as a reporter with HAVAS.
