Three Children Murdered by Father in Indiana
State police said the bodies of Jerry Dale Linns siblings Debra 4 and Kathy 13 and another child were found in brush off a county road northeast of Heltonville. Linn, 25, surrendered to police and was jailed for investigation after his wife was found at home in Jeffersonville. Prosecutor Colker said he would file preliminary murder charges as details emerged. The children were believed to have been taken from a babysitter. Heltonville lies about 20 miles southwest of Seymour.

Man Found Dead at Union Hotel in Troy
Thomas O'Melia 33 living at Union Hotel was found dead shortly after noon yesterday by an employee. Coroner says natural causes after investigation with Dr. Barrett. O'Melia formerly worked 12 years at Allegany Ludlum Steel as a lab tech and retired ill. Survivors include brother Gerald of Troy. Funeral set for Saturday with services at O'Bryan Funeral Home and St Patrick's Church.

Berlin Schools Set September Fifth Reopen Plan
Berlin schools reopen September 5 with a morning opening session for all five district schools. Central District will hold assemblies to explain rules and fire drills, with buses starting at 11:30 a.m. for student home departures.
