Hoosick Republicans announced a full slate for the fall town election at their caucus led by Walter Wirmusky for town supervisor and Raymond Calhoun for clerk. Fire destroys barn in West Hoosick. two calves die
A barn on Myron Filkins’s farm on Wilson Mill Road West Hoosick burned Saturday evening at 7 p m. Five fire departments Hoosick Falls West Hoosick Buskirk Hoosick and North Hoosick fought the flames but the barn could not be saved. two calves died and farm machinery was damaged with no damage estimate yet. Filkins cites spontaneous combustion as the blaze cause.

Local Cystic Fibrosis campaign heads chosen
Three area residents were selected to lead the Breath of Life campaign for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
