Labor pact with lawyer ruled illegal by board examiner

An interim National Labor Relations Board ruling found a labor agreement between attorney Robert Gray of Troy and the Grand Union warehouse in Waterford illegal. The pact would have designated Gray as the exclusive bargaining agent for about 200 employees and required wage deductions. Gray denied the agreement as a labor organization. The examiner, Herbert Silbert Mian, ordered the company to halt the suspected practices and withheld details of the monetary amount involved. The NLRB will forward the report for action with parties allowed to express objections.
