East Greenbush Board Delays Outdoor Education Plan And Grades Policy

The East Greenbush School Board tabled Tom Bennett's motion to continue an expanded Grade 5 outdoor education program for 1976-77. Dr Edward Szade recommended combining with the sixth grade at the girl scout camp to save costs. The board also approved a two year probationary period for tenured certified staff and discussed Title IX notice requirements. A $300000 brutality suit against Rensselaer officer Thomas O Grady was revived by State Supreme Court Judge Harold J Hughes after the city failed to get it dismissed The plaintiff Donald F Squires 18 of Snyders Lake alleges O Grady beat him during booking on Oct 24 1974 and that medical care was withheld He also sues fellow officers Michael Keneston Nino Cipriani and the city for failure to intervene and seeks damages The case may not go to trial for more than a year due to court congestion

No action in Salem burial dispute over Mrs Murphy request
