Rexford water district extends signup deadline to September

Rexford residents who missed last year's deadline for joining the unfinished Rexford Water District will have until September to apply. The town board raised the hook-up rate for 1976 applicants from 182 to 194 to cover interest on 1975 subscribers. A newsletter announcing the hookup schedule will be sent this week. Officials say the system should be completed this Spring.

A $10 million rail improvement program proposed by Boston and Maine and Delaware and Hudson would require federal and state loans plus private funds. White Water Derby casualty reported in good condition

Brian Olson seven of 111 No third Ave was reported in good condition at Leonard Hospital Troy Tuesday morning after being injured Sunday at the Water Derby when he entered Broadway road from between parked cars and was struck by a vehicle.
