Village Board Members Take Seats at Tonight's Meeting

Two new Village Board members elected March 21 will join the board at 8 p.m. in the Municipal Building. Mayor Leo J. Albowicz will preside, announce committees, and set two year terms for department heads. Changes expected include a new village treasurer and clerk appointments, with several long term projects ahead such as sewage disposal, water system upgrades, and urban renewal plans for the business district.

Kiwanis Hearing Phone Firm Aide Speaks at Meeting

Charles M. Stewart of New York Telephone Co. Troy district office will speak at Hoosick Falls Kiwanis luncheon in Baptist Memorial Hall. He will outline future area expansion plans and toll free service surveys for customers. Kiwanis directors meet tonight at 7:30 to review member suggestions and committee reports.

King's Daughters Vote Funds for Missions and Home

The Ministering Circle of The King's Daughters met at Mrs. Edwin E Brenenstuhl's home and voted cash gifts to Indian Missions and The World Fund for Formosa. They will carpet the state home dining room at Dansville and prepare 300 cotton quilt blocks and art foam coal hangers for state distribution. A follow up meeting is set for April 26 at Mrs. James F Smith's home on Bovie Hill Road.

Troy police praise Sacred Heart Church sexton Victor A Cirrincione for returning more than 100 dollars found on Jackson and Second Streets. He handed it to Desk Sgt Arthur Quiglan at Central Police Station at 7 45 pm. Owner may claim by presenting the correct amount and denomination. Mr and Mrs Cirrincione are parents of a year old son Michael Joka.

RPI Math Talk Set Today

Professor Richard Courant of NYU will speak at 3:30 p.m. in Amos Eaton Hall Room 214 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He will discuss The Role of Dirichlet's Principle in the Development of Analysis. Courant, Polish native, earned his Ph.D. at Göttingen at 22 and led the institute for 18 years.
