Brannan Plan Subsidies To Be Urged
President Truman prepared a major farm program message for Congress highlighting the Brannan Plan of production payments. The plan tightens potato price supports, expands cotton acreage price supports, and allows more peanuts for oil under conditions, with administration push amid ongoing CCC funding debate. Truman and family attended Palm Sunday services at a naval station chapel, meeting chaplains and greeting attendees.
