United States circuit court rules bonds issued in Italie county case remain binding on innocent holders. County’s defenses argued improper formation of Ralls County Court and illegality of railroad company organization, but court rejects these objections.

The Linna Mill Grange No 1453 passes condolence resolutions on the death of Sister Alierwa Ann Martin who departed this life May 1. The assembly lauds her as honest upright benevolent and worthy of the order's favors and extends sympathy to Brother W H Martin and his family. Members wear mourning badges for a period to be announced and resolutions are to be published in the Monthly Talk Troy Messenger Journal of Agriculture and Farmers.
