German concept of God beyond Abraham story explored
The piece discusses Abraham and Isaac as a sacrifice, then shifts to decry Germanic pagan echoes and the ancient idea of human sacrifice. It notes Wotan and Brunhilde, contrasts with the Judeo Christian God, and touches on related religious figures. It also covers figures like Gobind Behari Lal and Annie Besant, then moves to Britain’s Labour party, the NRA, and US economic concerns.

Entertain 4500 on Barbecue Day in Tripoli crowd
Tripoli hosted what may be one of its largest gatherings with about 4500 attendees across a barbecue dinner, sports events, and two dances. Around 2000 joined the feast and 2500 attended the evening dances. 1500 pounds of beef, 100 pounds of wieners, and nearly 5000 buns were consumed. The day included a doll carriage parade, pet parade, and a kittenball game between Fremont and Siegel, ending with numerous street contests and prize awards across children and adult categories. Congressman A C Willford urged support for the NRA and praised Roosevelt administration actions, predicting improved prosperity by Christmas.
