Readlyn Farmer Loses Finger In Corn Picker Mishap
Delbert Wittenburg of Readlyn farms southwest of town lost part of the left first finger in a corn picker accident Saturday morning. He was repairing the running machine when his glove was caught and his hand pulled into gears. He freed himself and walked home for aid. the finger was amputated at the second joint and he suffers arm and shoulder pain from the ordeal.
