Dutch Planes Show Value In Flying Race
The piece notes Dutch flyers piloting standard commercial planes in the London to Australia air race, contrasting with the British winners. It reflects Ford seeing hope in American aviation, praises Roosevelt’s independence stance, and tells a tale of Pedro Cirocito tossing away a $100,000 pearl after losing it in the ocean. It also mentions amniotic fluid vaccines reducing peritonitis deaths and a New York birth with quadruplets, highlighting contrasts in life expectancy and national issues.
