Iowa farmers revise down 1968 corn and soybean crop outlook
Iowa State University economist Bob Wisner reports modest downward revisions to U S corn and soybean forecasts. Corn production seen around 4 587 billion bushels and soybeans near 1 066 billion, with national output about 3 percent below last year. Domestic use expected to rise slightly, exports uncertain, and prices likely to stay near current levels into harvest. Carryover for 1969 may rise, supported by larger soybean supplies and strong demand.
