Death Summons Mrs Ida Taylor
Mrs Ida Taylor died October 15 at 1 PM at her Frederika home after years of ill health. Born May 21, 1861 in Winnebago County Wisconsin, she married Lawrence Taylor in 1878. Survived by husband, three daughters, one son, twenty four grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, with many relatives. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Episcopal church in Frederika.

Waverly special report: The Waverly AAUW will sponsor a quilts and rugs exhibition in the Guild hall on Wednesday October 28 with afternoon and evening hours. Featured items include Jesse James coat piece, a century old coverlet, a four generation sampler, many old quilts, hooked rugs and antique furniture to furnish an old room. Boy Convicts Escape From Eldora Trip at Waverly
Four boys from the State Training school at Eldora escaped Friday evening near Waverly while returning from a Nashua football game. The youths Paul Smith Leroy Peters Robert Van Devere and Fred Jones fled from an auto truck as it climbed a hill near the fair grounds. Van Devere and Jones are identified as negroes. Police and deputies searched the area and notified nearby towns but the disappearance remained unsolved.

Lieman Wilharm dies after long illness in Bremer County
Lielman Wilharm aged 53 died at his home near the city on Wednesday evening October 14 after a yearlong illness with canes and complications. A lifelong Bremer County farmer, he lost his right arm in a woodlaw accident but continued farming until his death. He is survived by his wife and two daughters at home. Funeral services were held at St Pauls Lutheran church Saturday at two o'clock, Rev. E H Rausch officiating, with burial in the Lutheran cemetery.

Rasmus Jensen aged 55 died at his home after a few days illness from pneumonia. A Danish immigrant who settled in Bremer county about 40 years ago, he lived at the Laird farm for 25 years. Survived by wife and seven sons. Funeral held at Kaiser chapel with Masonic lodge involvement. Burial in Harlington cemetery.
