Christmas Seal Funds Back Research On Tuberculosis
Christmas Seal funds will supply more than $450,000 to support medical research to eradicate tuberculosis. The National Tuberculosis Association and affiliated TB groups grant funds for 37 projects, including a University of Iowa study by Dr Wayburn Jeeter and Dr Paul M Seebohm. Iowa associations back five more projects on breathing, lung infection resistance, sewage germ-killing methods, and follow up of arrested TB cases. Contributions are urged to sustain these programs nationally and in Iowa.
