Man Dies From Arm Injury After Farm Accident
George Soldwisch, 57, died at Mercy hospital from infection after his arm was amputated following a corn shredder accident at the Walter Holst farm near Waverly. He had been exposed to the injury over an hour. funeral services were held at Geo. J. Kaiser's funeral home and St. John's Lutheran church. He was born in Chicago in 1875 and leaves a wife, four children, and several siblings.

Former Chizen Is Buried Here
Funeral services were held for John Green, a Bremer county native, at the Congregational church. Burial followed in Fremont Cemetery with Rev. E. F. Byers officiating. Green died at his brother William’s Forest City home on November 18, aged 66 years, 2 months, and 6 days. He was the son of William and Ann Green, the youngest of three siblings, and his family moved from Kenosha Wisconsin to Bremer county in 1860. He lived on his family farm until about age 30, later farmed in Minnesota, then traveled seeking health until his passing. Survived by sister Mrs. Anna Snelling of Tripoli, brother William Green of Forest City, and nephew Orville Green near Austin Minnesota.

Farmer Lose Two Fingers In Corn Sheller Accident
August Winzenburg a 51 year old Douglas township farmer lost the little finger and ring finger of his left hand in a corn sheller accident at his farm Monday morning. He was taken to Waverly hospital where a surgeon removed crushed bones and bruised flesh. The hand was caught in a machine driven by tractor power and the thumb index and middle fingers were not injured. His farm lies one mile east and four miles north of Bremer.

Adrian Rademaker Killed by Auto in Dyersville
Adrian Rademaker a 40 year old Westgate merchant was killed in East Dyersville Tuesday night when struck by a car driven by Des Moines resident Owen Kinnard. Rademaker was spreading a canvas over his truck at the time. Westgate man Herb Higgens on top of the truck was thrown to the pavement but not injured.

Fire Department Responds To Three Local Blazes
The county fire department answered three calls in the past week. A blaze at W. O. Mayers upstairs room was fought with chemicals and its cause was undetermined. A second fire at the vacated Martelle Beebe residence was caused by an overheated furnace while Mr and Mrs Joe Gardener and family had just moved in from Allenton Wisconsin. Only minimal damage occurred.

The Waverly Ministerial Association will run a training school for church school teachers and religious education instructors in Janesville Clarksville Plainfield and Shell Rock. Classes meet at Waverly High School on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for three weeks starting November 29. Rev. H. Temple serves as dean. Subjects include Middle Childhood Old Testament and The Message and Program of the Christian Religion.

Monoxide Gas Nearly Fatal Escape For Chicago Man
W B McKelvie a Chicago salesman narrowly escaped death last Friday when monoxide gas from his car exhaust filled his vehicle. Mason City resident William Hartley saw the swerving car halted his own and rushed McKelvie to Mercy Hospital where oxygen saved him. Doctors said he would have died in ten minutes otherwise. He recovered and went to his Charles City hotel.

Fall Injures Williard Hess at Work Site
