Henry Braun 70 longtime Bremer county resident died at his home northwest of Sumner on Wednesday. Funeral services were held Saturday at St. John's Lutheran church with Rev. C. J. Mardorf officiating and burial in the church cemetery. Survived by seven daughters and five sons including Elizabeth Surkey Anamosa Eva Nissin Waverly Nora Reinhart Janesville Earl Stevenson Sumner Nettie Schwam Fredericksburg Druscilla Angus Tripoli William Henry Louis Ora Leonard and Grace Sumner. Braun born April 23 1862 in Illinois later lived near Sumner after living in Denver Iowa. He married Edith Nichols August 6 1889.

Judge Kelley Dies in Charles City After 33 Years on Bench
Judge C H Kelley longtime district judge died at his Charles City home at 11 p m Saturday. He served 33 years and handled many cases in the period. Funeral services were held at his home and Congregational church in Charles City. The March term of court opened Monday but progress paused after his death with cases likely to move slowly. Erwin Slack, son of Mr and Mrs Will Slack, died at Mercy hospital following an appendectomy. The American Legion Easter Monday dance is set for March 28 with Ruth Austins orchestra. Will Nolte and Helen Arns wed in Waverly and moved to their new home.
