Tripoli Community School district proposes 1968 69 budget
The Tripoli Community School District proposes a 521 076 general fund budget for 1968 69 with 343 838 to be raised by local taxation and 177 238 from other receipts. State and federal aid plus income tax aid totaling 177 238 support the budget while 42 224 more is asked for bonds and interest. A public hearing is set for July 8 at 8:00 p m at Tripoli High School to discuss the proposal and provide detailed receipts and disbursements.

Curb and Gutters Nearing Completion in Tri Town Project

Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Esther E Nolting 64 of rural Waterloo were held at St Peter Lutheran Church Denver with Rev David P Johnson officiating. She died Sunday afternoon at Allen Memorial Hospital. Born August 29 1903 in Bremer county she was the daughter of William Nolte and Anna Schwake. She married June 6 1928 in Sumner to Albert Nolting. More than 400 high school and junior high musicians attend the 19th annual All State Music Camp at the University of Iowa. At Kammeyer farm northwest of Tripoli the operator uses dam records to choose herd heifers and breeds by AI at 700 to 800 pounds rather than by age. The 300 acre operation milks 99 Holstein cows, feeding hay and grain in winter, moving to permanent pasture in spring, and green-chopping in summer with hay and grain. Net income over feed per cow runs about 300 dollars, with feed costs near 165 dollars per 100 pounds of milk.
