Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Faith United Church of Christ in Tripoli for Lawrence F. Snelling 64. He died Thursday at Allen Memorial hospital Waterloo. Burial was in Fremont cemetery Tripoli. Survivors include his wife Edna two sons and one daughter six grandchildren and two sisters. The first field day at the Northeast Iowa Research Center near Nashua is set for Monday July 28. ISU hosts a herbicide evaluation program with tours starting at 1 00 p m and ending at 330 p m over plots of pre plant pre emergence and post emergence chemicals. Over 220 herbicides or application methods will be displayed with demonstrations highlighting new chemicals and techniques. Specialists Vivan Jennings Dale Studt and Kay Connelly will discuss herbicides and answer questions.
