Shorter Shows of Falls replaces Royal Shows as main attraction. Parade features Sumner Saddle Chuckwagon rigs and high school marching band. Dr Max stage offers prize giveaways. May sales of Series E and H bonds in Bremer County total $48,083, elevating the five month county total to $220,746 or 44 percent of the 1971 quota. Statewide May sales rose nearly 40 percent from 1970, reaching $7,459,404 and a five month total of $37,846,040 for 50 percent of the goal. Greene County leads Iowa at 78 percent, with Clarke and Mahaska at 77 percent, Warren 73, Adair and Jefferson 71, Adams 70. A 5.5 percent rate applies to bonds to maturity. County figures for Black Hawk, Chickasaw, Fayette, and Butler follow.
