The State Banking department authorized American Savings Bank to release all restricted certificates of deposit since its 1933 reorganization. The release takes effect June 21, allowing holders to withdraw funds or roll into new 3 percent CDs. FDIC insurance rises from 2500 to 5000 after July 1, 1934. Mrs J F Kroblin Dies at Sumner
Mrs J F Kroblin aged 67 died Saturday after eight months illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p m in the United Brethren church with Rev Phillip Brunn officiating. Interment followed in Wilson Grove cemetery. She was born in Dwight Illinois and moved to Sumner at 15. She married Joe Kroblin October 2, 1890. Surviving are her husband five children Earl Mrs L R Young Elmer Mrs R J Mueller and Howard two brothers and two sisters Pete and Louis Garden Mrs Rene Smith and Mrs A J Miller and five grandchildren.

Tegtmeier Relatives Hold Seventh Annual Reunion
The seventh annual Tegtmeier family reunion was held at Lena Tegtmeier’s farm near Waterloo on Sunday June 17 with 76 attendees. The oldest was 73 year old Chris Winning and the youngest a four month old, daughter of Mr and Mrs Louis Tegtmeier of Tripoli. Attendees came from Dunkerton Oran Denver Buck Creek Waterloo and Tripoli. The committee led by Fred Tegtmeier and Harold Nolting planned the event and voted to hold the 1935 reunion at Readlyn city park with arrangements by Edwin Tegtmeier and Edwin Weltzein.

Bremer county supervisors approve a new work relief plan paying 25 cents an hour for eight hours with wage cash and allocate most work to the rock crushing project near Waverly. About $2,000 monthly in county funds. 30 to 386 men may be employed daily, with 100 men monthly. Applications pass through the county emergency relief office and require legal residence.

The Fred Heideman family reunion was held at Babcock Grove south of Waverly on Sunday June 17. Dinners and lunches were shared from baskets brought by the ladies. Ed Heideman of Denver broke his left leg during kittenball play and was taken to Waverly hospital for X rays. The oldest attendee was Fred Heideman Jr aged 77 and the youngest was Darlene Kehe aged one. A long list of Heideman relatives attended, and a committee was named to plan next year’s reunion.

Dies Following Operation At Mercy Hospital
Patricia Campbell ten month old daughter of Mr and Mrs Don Campbell of Fayette died at Mercy hospital this city Saturday evening June 16 after an operation for double hernia. Survived by her parents a grandmother and great grandfather. Funeral services were held at St Andrews Episcopal church Tuesday at 2 30 with Rev Giles Sharpley officiating and burial in Cedar Falls.

Cromer Men Bound Over In Bremer County Theft Case
Truman Cromer and his son Alvin Cromer waived preliminary hearing in Justice of the Peace M M Kingsley's court and were bound over to the September Grand Jury. They reside in Black Hawk county but the alleged thefts occurred in Bremer county near Denver. Bonds were set at 600 for the father and 400 for the son.
