Advertising Tax Rules Announced for Media Sales
Director William H Ist announced on June 13 that notices will mail to all les tax accounts detailing reporting of sales tax on advertising receipts and printing and binding tips. The May 1 1969 report due July 31 1969 must be filed with the department. The department will remit payment with this test whether advertisers remitted tax for media or agencies.

Denver Grad to Be Ordained in U C C Church on June 22
Denver native Thomas L. Guenther, son of Mrs. Lorraine Fisher and the late Gerald Guenther, will be ordained into the United Church of Christ at St. Pauls U C C in Denver on Sunday June 22 at 2 30 p m. He is a 1961 Denver High School graduate with a 1966 B A from Ellsworth and Elmhurst Colleges and a Master of Divinity from Eden Theological Seminary this spring. He served as student pastor at several U C C churches and did field work at Eden Fellowship Center before ordination. Organ recital by Mrs Daryl Schumacher will precede the service at 2 00 p m.

An open house at Zion Lutheran Church Readlyn honored Dr David Leistikow who earned an MD at Iowa State University in Iowa City on June 6 and Dr Jean Leistikow who also earned an MD there last spring. The couple formerly Jean Linder of Hartley married December 29 and plan to move to Fresno California for his internship. Summer School Program Underway at Tripoli Schools
Title I summer program in reading and mathematics begins at Tripoli Community Schools for the fourth year. Ninety students attend grades 1 through 6 in a voluntary, small-class setting financed by Title I funds. Des Moines Bank Purchases $140000 in School Bonds
The Tripoli Board of Education authorized a $140,000 bond issue at a June 9 meeting to fund the school addition under construction. The entire issue was sold to the Iowa-Des Moines National Bank of Des Moines at 5.69 percent interest. Bonds run for fifteen years.

Computer Records Boost Production For Tripoli Dairyman
John Pollock of Tripoli, a member of the Unified Dairy Herd Improvement Cooperative, uses Iowa State University computer records to manage about 30 cows. Over two years his herd average rose about 1000 pounds annually through 305 day milking and breeding data, with plans to expand to 40 head. The program provides individual cow data, feeds, and culling calculations, aided by ISU facilities and local supervisors.
