Turkey Prices To Be Lower No Sharp Drop Foreseen
Farm Economist Francis Kutish of Iowa State University says turkey prices will be slightly lower this year but not sharply. He cites a 1.5 percent population gain and higher average income as price support, while competition from beef pork and broilers plus more turkey supplies curb gains. Eggs face higher winter prices due to lower production and fewer pullets, balancing demand. Market research notes many teenage girls fail to consume adequate diets for health and beauty.
