Tripoli celebrates its eighth annual Poultry and Egg Days with a two day event featuring a teen hop kiddie parade rides and free acts by Royal United Shows. The crowd enjoyed music by Morbidoni Accordion band and Tripoli concert band along with a flower show. Winners crowned in the Kiddie Parade include Mary Rathbone on a riding pony and the Tripoli marching band with multiple divisions awarding prizes from 5 to 0.50 dollars. Sweepstakes honored winner Mrs John Shoup of Waverly while James Brooks received a bicycle prize for the kiddie rides.

License Examiners Report Serving 75 at Tripoli Town Hall
Iowa Highway Patrol license examiners served 75 patrons at Tripoli Town Hall on Saturday morning. The breakdown: new operators eight, operator renewals 42, chauffeur renewals 14, expired chauffeur four, and four instruction permits. Local student named to dean's honor list at State College of Iowa
Cedar Falls Marietta Schult daughter of Mr and Mrs Leo Schult Tripoli has been named to the dean's list at the State College of Iowa announced by Dean of Instruction William C Lang.
