Mrs. Mary S Hertlein 73 widow of Rev Geo Hertlein died suddenly at home on Friday January 9 at 8 30 am from a cerebral hemorrhage She planned to visit Independence with daughter and was found dead by Mrs H C Graening She had lived in the city since 1906 born September 27 1857 in Malvern Ohio She and Rev Hertlein married 1878 and left 10 children 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild Funeral held Monday at St Paul's Lutheran church with burial in Lutheran cemetery

Miss Gynith Liddle 27 died Wednesday at her sister Mrs Frank Cave home from tuberculosis after years of illness. She had been in Suncrest sanitarium Dubuque and chose to return home before passing. Survived by two sisters and two brothers Guy and Irving, funeral at Kaiser funeral home then Horton Methodist church conducted by Rev Peterson with burial in Horton cemetery.

Obituary of Mrs. Sarah Byram of Waverly Iowa
Mrs. Sarah Byram died at Western Old People’s Home in Cedar Falls on Sunday morning January 11 at age 82. She lived in and near Waverly most of her life, had been ill only a few days, and died from heart trouble with complications. Her only relative survivor is stepson Ray Byram of near Janesville. Funeral services were held at the Old People’s Home Tuesday afternoon with burial beside her mother in Shell Rock Cemetery.

Clerk Suffers Finger Injury at Local Grocery
