The Tripoli Commercial Club will hold its annual meeting at the Town Hall next Monday night. Dinner starts at 7 p.m. with the meeting to follow. Officers for 1955-56 will be elected from a nominating committee slate and may also be nominated from the floor. Two proposed promotion plans will be discussed and voted on. A football film, Hawkeye Highlights of 1954, will be shown. Dinner is by Grace Lutheran Church Ladies' Aid.

Homan Resigns As Secretary Of Artesian Creamery
Artesian Co operative Creamery Co held its annual meeting at the creamery last Thursday. Ernest Homan of Denver resigned as secretary after 23 years and 65 years as a patron. Merle Teisinger and Ernest Huck were elected directors for three year terms. Richard Mathews spoke on brucellosis and Bob Eiserman discussed sediment testing. Annual report shows 864,071 lbs cream received and 304,283 lbs butter made with average butterfat test of 28. The average price paid patrons for butterfat was 70 cents.

Tripoli Area Forms Study Committee For School Reorganization
About 100 residents from the Tripoli area met at the high school gym last Wednesday to form a study committee on reorganizing surrounding districts into a larger district. The panel will assess impacts on students, property values, millage needs, and facilities, with a report and recommendations. Talent Show Spurs Two Divisions At Town Hall
The annual Talent Show, sponsored by the VFW Auxiliary, was held Tuesday night at the Town hall. Leroy Engle led as master of ceremonies. In the adult division, winners were Barbara Bang and Elaine Haverkamp for vocal duet first place, Betty Nerge and Betty Schneer accordion duet second, and Michael Wilson piano solo third. In the children’s division for ages 12 and under, Diane Lahmann won vocal solo first, Caroline Kehe Linda Barry Kay Barry and Jean Ambrose tap dance team second, and Larry and Dixon Bunger piano duet third. Denver Couple Hurt In Crash Returning From California Trip
Denver residents Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph J. Guenther were seriously injured in a Tuesday morning auto-truck crash near Pittsburg Kansas while returning from a California vacation. Mrs. Guenther is in critical condition and her husband is seriously hurt. Mrs. Guenther’s mother Bertha Akin 75 of Waterloo was killed. A fourth passenger Geneva Burgess 17 of Fort Madison was not seriously injured. The crash followed the Guenthers stopping behind a stalled dump truck when a semi-trailer loaded with steel struck them.
