Henry Kasemeier long time Bremer county resident dies at his Waverly home after several days of heart trouble. Born July 15, 1855 in Freemont township he taught in local schools and served 18 years as county recorder. Survived by son Karl and four grandchildren. wife Emma died four years ago. Funeral held at Lutheran church with burial in Harlington cemetery.

Harry Buhr, local Chevrolet dealer, attended a meeting in Waterloo where the Chevrolet Motor Company announced a program of low delivered prices. The plan removes packs and padding between the fob price and delivered price, reducing the customer’s total cost. Buhr cited that 1934 models may cost about 36 dollars more to the buyer in Tripoli despite overall price gaps from 1933 to 1934.

Charles L. Scott, 62, father of Lee Scott of this city, died at his Waterloo home Sunday February 11 at 12 15 from heart disease. Survived by widow, one son C Lee Scott of Tripoli, two daughters Mrs Goldyn Andreason of Waterloo and Mrs W T Phy, plus three grandchildren Bobby Lee Scott, Goldyn Mae Andreason, Billy Scott Phy. A daughter Mrs W T Phy died in 1929. Funeral held at Riceville Methodist church with burial in Riverside Cemetery. The Scotts had lived in this city about a year at their son Lee Scott’s home.

F M Renn aged 84 died at his home north of the city Wednesday morning February 7 after a long illness. A Bremer county resident for 75 years he was born November 3, 1849 in Pennsylvania and married Elsie Stuffelbeam in 1874. Survived by three sons Earl Elmer Perry and three daughters Bessie Whitman Sylvia Raines and another daughter Henry all near area towns, plus two sisters, two brothers, 16 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral service Saturday at Koch funeral home with Rev H D Temple of the Methodist Episcopal church officiating. Burial in St Andrew's cemetery north of the city.

John W. Farris died in a Kansas City hospital on February 7 after moving January 1 to take a city job and falling ill with the flu. Born December 27, 1889 near this city, he spent most of his life here and is survived by his parents two children Fern and Jerris, three sisters, and was buried in Denver cemetery after services at Koch funeral home.
