Mrs W Burmeister Observes Birthday in 82nd Year
Friday February 2 marks the eighty second birthday of Mrs Wilhelmina Burmeister. Her children and grandchildren gathered at her daughter Mrs Ernest Struck s home for a late lunch and evening of visiting and games. Attending were Mr and Mrs Fred Bremer Alvin Lucille Leona of Frederika Mr and Mrs Ernest Batlmann and daughters Viola Edna Darlene and Lawrence north of town Mr and Mrs Art Redies near Potters Siding Mr and Mrs Will Propp and Alfred Struck of this place. Mrs Burmeister has long made her home with her daughter Mrs Will Propp and husband and recently with her daughter Mrs Ernest Struck at her old home. Despite advanced age she remains active and in comparatively good health.

Time extension on license plates ordered in state move
The purchase time for automobile and truck license plates without penalty has been advanced to February 10 by an order from the state motor vehicle department to County Treasurer Hoth. Reduced Car Rates In Effect At County Treasurer Office

Michael O'Toole 69 Dies Suddenly in City Home
Michael O'Toole, 69, died Tuesday evening at his son Bernard's home from a heart attack. Born in March 1865 in Lafayette county Wisconsin, he lived in Janesville before moving to this city. Survived by sons William Ft. Dodge Raymond Council Bluffs and Bernard here. Wife died about 30 years ago. Remains shipped to Lake City Iowa for burial.
