Henry Kummelehne 75 of Frederika died Saturday morning at a Nora Springs nursing home after a stroke. Born March 4 1876 in Rich Illinois he lived in Bremer county since 1905. Surviving are his wife Emma mummelther daughter Mrs Fred Mummelther seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Burial was in St Johns Lutheran Frederika after services Tuesday at 1 30 p m. Rev Ewald Senst officiated. One sister survives. three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

A Bremer county conference ruling body was announced by Art Miller of Janesville high secretary of the organization. The group will handle conference affairs including setting an approved list of officials and arranging schedules. A meeting will be held Thursday at 7 pm in Denver. Officers include President Grinnell Readlyn vice president Daniels Denver, with Miller as secretary. A cooperative effort led by Mrs. J. R. Kane wrapped up a polio drive in Tripoli raising 232.83 dollars. Contributions came mainly from the Porchlight Drive on Monday with help from the high school Boy Scouts churches 4 H groups the newspaper and the Woman's Club. Donations may still be handed in at the American Savings Bank or Tripoli Leader office before transfer to county chairman James Heyer of Sumner.
